La Bayadere Revisited by Rhetoracle Dance Company

This past Sunday, the DancePlug Team took a short trip to Long Beach where Rhetoracle Dance Company was rehearsing for their upcoming show "La Bayadere". You may know the tragic love story of Nikiya, the temple dancer and Solor, the warrior. Well, Rhetoracle's artistic director Nate Hodges decided to mold the classic ballet into a modern version set in a bar in Louisiana! We were intrigued... Our host Joshua Horner got to talk about this new production with Nate Hodges, along with some of the lead dancers Christopher Liu, Bryana Verner, Jillian Dean, Jason Gorman, and Rochelle Mapes.
