Glyn Gray's blog

Well I have now wrapped up week 3 of my P90X training.  I am feeling super good and definitely getting fitter.  My diet has been consistent which has been a great plus - breakfasts have all been from memory from the last time, pretty much a salad for lunch and dinners have been low in complex carbs.  So refined sugars for 3 weeks now.  One small saving grace is a can of Diet Coke - naughty I know but sometimes water just becomes all too much.

Well I have to admit it has taken me a very long time to get it together and get back onto actually finish the P90X training.  I had commenced this in October 2009 and never completed it as my Mother passed before Christmas and as you can imagine everything was complete chaos.  So I am here to give you a quick update on my progress so far:

StirStudios recently relaunched DancePlug's website along with a new marketing strategy from Elizabeth Barry & Associates. The main goals at the top of the list for the rebuild were speed, theme optimization, simplicity and focused. If you take a look I think you will agree we achieved all of the above! DancePlug is such a creative client to work with and we wanted to help them showoff some of the changes we made:

The new homepage says it all giving the viewer what they need to know on their first impression.  In one hit viewers can now understand what makes DancePlug rock in their career profiles, online dance classes, the Dish - your news-flash channel for all things dance and lastly their awesome demo reels.

Well a small team from DancePlug (Glyn Gray (ME), Benjamen Allen and Jason Carter) were invited to the first taping of ABDC on Tuesday 26th January 2010.

Well the past month has been a fairly rough time in my life!  My mum passed away just before Christmas which as you can imagine stopped me from doing many things, one of them blogging!  Prior to mum's passing my sister, brother and I organized to go back home (Wanganui, New Zealand) to spend time with family and help mum out as she was not healthy.  Alas she beat us to it!  As we all agreed "She did it HER way!"  So my Christmas was a torn one full of emotion and sadness and thankfully we were together to help each other out.

Insider tip number 6, gain the most out of your DancePlug experience.

This week we will be looking at the "I have been working on" which is part of the status.

Week 5 complete.  Not so sure about this week.  Some days have been harder than others both in food and workout.  I seemed to be a load more hungry this week.  We added in a new workout this month which incorporates a rediculous amount of pushups.  A couple of salads I used to have in the first month basically had a burrito added to them and literally that was the only change - bit of a hard dish for me to eat really!  So I am improvising some days to stick with a salad or try the burrito!

This week we will be looking at the "Status Update".

Week 4 complete.  Feeling strong and have definitely lost more weight.  So the system is working.  I begin a new diet and slightly different workout for this coming month 2.  This month we increase more of the complex carbs to support the workouts.  1 month down and 2 to go!

I have also had tremendous amounts of support from my wife, Anh Dillon who has kept me on track.  Huge help for me for sure.

So rock on month 2, week 5!

Well things have been wrapping up rather nicely.  Feeling better having now completed week 3.  I have my favorite meals and just power through the days where the food is a challenge!  Week 4 is a recovery week so I am doing loads of stretching, yoga, and cardio.  My workout changes next week along with the diet!! Thank goodness for that!

I feel good to ready to rock n roll for week 4
