Xhale Dance Company "Shifting Soul"

Michael Susten's Xhale Dance Company is thrilled to be celebrating
their 5th Anniversary at the Salvatore Capezio Theatre at Peridance.

The Xhale Dance Company is a contemporary jazz based company located in the heart of Philadelphia. Over the the past five years Xhale has performed in the Philly Fringe Festival, The Koresh Artist Showcase and The Choreographers Canvas. Last summer they were fortunate enough to perform as a guest with Tracie Stanfield's Synthesis Dance Project at Peridance. They just returned from Palm Desert, California, where Michael was one of 12 choreographers selected from around the country to perform in the Dance Under the Stars Choreography Festival.

"Shifting Soul" will showcase two of Xhale's repertory pieces.
"Underneath the Surface" explores the emotions that people tend to hide from the world in an attempt to fit in with the crowd. The dancers also portray a vivid image of the Holocaust experience in "A Broken World."

A talented group of vocalists will be sharing the stage in a unique
display of dance and music that audiences have come to expect and enjoy in an Xhale show.
