Monsters of HipHop 2011 Show Cast

“Navigating the entertainment industry is hard. Succeeding in it is even harder. Being chosen as a MONSTERS cast member means one word: HOPE. Hope that I can work professionally. Hope that I can accomplish my long-term goal. And most of all, hope for every individual out there with a dream.” (Niecey Chong, 2011 Cast)

The annual LA Monsters Show has become the ultimate platform for launching careers of countless, talented hip hop dancers. To become a Monsters cast member is a goal for many dancers worldwide who invest financially, physically and emotionally to pursue the training necessary to make it as a professional. While making the Monsters Show is an incredible accomplishment, it is but a stepping stone into the larger world of dance.

Monsters Shows have sold out consistently with audiences including top agents, artists and industry executives. Former cast members continue to be some of the busiest working dancers in the industry with credits including: Beyonce, Britney Spears, Janet & Michael Jackson, Rhianna, Lady Gaga, Usher, Chris Brown, Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance and much more.

Monsters faculty, staff and fellow alumni congratulate every one of this season’s finalists on all their hard work, dedication and training throughout the year. The support and love that has been shown for each other has been inspirational and truly representative of the family that is Monsters. It is clear how much hard work and emotion is invested and how much the Monsters Show means. Each finalist was deserving of a spot in this year’s cast; however, it must be limited. Monsters’ message to finalists who have not been selected is to remain true to yourself and never let self-doubt destroy your dreams.

2011 Finalist Delmar Reyna said “I am that underdog that you can NEVER under-estimate, because of my sheer will and desire to succeed. This desire has always been greater than the obstacles placed in front of me. When told I can’t do it, or the circumstances makes a situation seem impossible, the giant that lives inside of me has always said, “Yes, you can.”
