I understand that everyone has a different body but I also know that working with your body can alter how flexibility you'd normally be. Dancers need to be flexible everywhere which is a problem for me because I am extremely tight in my inner thighs (middle splits), lower back, and shoulders.
Any stretching techniques that will help me improve these things?
Thanks!

I suggest partner stretching. Not to be done without proper training, but very useful in gaining strength and flexibility where you might have little. My teachers stressed relaxing and breathing through your stretching as well. Dancers wants results, and seem to always pull ourselves into stretching positions when we should be breathing, lengthening, and relaxing into stretches. DON"T GRIP.

Ah yes as dancers we spend a load of timing practicing, demonstrating and performing and not enough attention on maintenance and support to our tool (our body). My advice as always is you need time. The longer it takes to achieve a result the longer you will sustain the outcome. Any kind of quick gain is going to disappear as quickly as is acquired. Sitting in straddle morning and night slowly easing lower and lower by walking your arms out while watching TV or reading a book to make the time go by faster.
Be mindful of your body while stretching as well there is no need to force anything that is what gravity takes care of! Time is your friend for stretching.
