i think the editing can make it better too. like the black and gold dance in it, the beginning looks amazing but it actually isnt that dancey but the filming makes it look wicked
I enjoyed it!
It was great that it was modern and I also agree that there needed to be more dancing!
It was good to also hear a reference to complexions in it!

Isn't that always the case though with "dance" movies? There's dancing, but never enough to satisfy us dancers! There may be great choreography, but after the editing, there's never much left of it... I haven't seen the movie yet, so keep bringing the reviews in, it may help make up my mind :-)

I think it's great to see Fame on the big screen again. And while this version had it's similarities to the original, director Kevin Tancharoen was able to create a film to speak to today's generation. Personally, I wished there had been more dancing and exploration of characters. I felt like we didn't really get to experience the characters like in the original. All in all , I have to commend Kevin and choreographer Marguerite Derricks for their talents and time in remaking Fame. Thanks guys!

No no this is quite a valid topic to discuss. I have heard some very mixed reviews on this one indeed. I have actually yet to see it - what is your take on it?
