The many colors of Jai Fears are exemplified through her vast range of talents. From the radiance of a dazzling pink when performing her pop with a dash of “cute rock” (as she would call it) sounds, to a lightening Prussian blue when creating movements of dance, or the alluring bittersweet gold when transforming into characters as an actress. Jai Fears the artist, model, choreographer and songwriter is truly an inimitable vision of artistry.
Jai learned the transforming power of music and dance at an early age as she captivated the audience of family and friends during her creative half-time performances at Super Bowl parties. Recognizing Jai's unparallel gift, the family moved to Burbank, California in quest of creating the foundation of Jai's dreams and inevitable destiny. Almost immediately, entertainment moguls of the industry sought after Jai for her gift of dancing and acting.
In 2001, Jai returned to hometown Detroit, Michigan with extended wings prepared and excited to reveal her many colors of talent. To date, Jai can be seen dancing for the legendary Aretha Franklin, Charlie Wilson, Vikki Winans, and N’SYNC, or branding national print ads for Nike, and Degree deodorantS, and on screen in “The Wood”, “MVP” or the recently released on DVD, “Crossover” as she portrays the subtle but explosive role of “Eboni”, co-staring with Eva Pigford and Wayne Brady. Now almost completely focusing on her music, Jai has already opened up for the legendary Charlie Wilson of The Gap Band twice, Melissa Morgan, and has performed for standing room only crowds at Detroit’s on Hard Rock Café, as well as annual music festivals like the Ribs-n-Soul festival and Detroit’s SummerJamz hosted by Radio One’s Hot 102.7.
As a devoted member of Great Faith Ministries church in Detroit, Michigan, Jai knows first that her wings of many colors are a gift from “GOD”. The prophecy spoken and accepted “God said it will come to pass, but not as you think it will... I have opened the door for you, and I will use you and touch your life. In a giving spirit, Jai gives homage to her parents for their support, direction, unconditional love and patience.
In commitment to her multi-faceted career endeavors, Jai says, “When the time is right and the opportunity is before me, I will introduce myself to the world and it will be my stage.”
