Class at Edge PAC in Hollywood, CA Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:30am-1pm

Joelle's class is inspirational and athletically challenging. Her fast paced movement and exuberant energy bring out parts of you that might be sleeping that day. You know without a doubt that she is there for you. She takes the time to correct and work with you no matter what level you are at. Her love and passion for technique, people, and life shines brightly through her class and her work. Versatility is apparent in her choreography as well. She can teach anything from tango inspired jazz, to musical theatre, to modern contemporary. Joelle is always challenging herself to walk down new paths. Thus, somehow, you become swept up on a journey of your own.

As a dancer Joelle has worked with the likes of: The Cohen Brothers (Fargo) in “The Big Lebowski”, Marguerite Derricks (Austin Powers) in “A Time For Dancing”, Jerry Evans (The Mask) in “Romy and Michelle: In The Beginning”, and Michael Rooney (Kylie Minogue) in the MTV music award winning video “It’s Ohh So Quiet”. Joelle played “The Prosecuting Attorney” in J.T. Horenstein's production "The Question", and was the assistant choreographer to Denise Leitner for the Los Angeles production of "The Who's Tommy, The Awakening" featuring Tony Award Nominee Alice Ripley, Nona Hendryx and "Wicked's" Jenna Leigh Green. Joelle has performed in countless stage shows for Buena Vista Special Events and The Platinum Guild. She has been a guest artist for The Wes Veldink Movement and a soloist for Liz Imperio’s Instincts Live Media Dance Company, where Lewis Segal of the Los Angeles Times called her performance "feisty".

Joelle is currently a faculty member at Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles and a master teacher for “Le Reve“ in Las Vegas. She has taught all over the United States as well as in Bosnia, China, Mexico, Canada, Guatemala, India and Japan. Joelle is founder and artistic director of Los Angeles based SoleVita dance company. She is affiliated with children’s non-profit organizations: Genesis Sarajevo in Bosnia and New Possibilities Children’s Foundation in India. Joelle recently choreographed Erin Muir’s “Too Much” music video and is choreographing a rock opera set to release in 2011.

Passionate and enthusiastic, Joelle’s energy is contagious to not only the dancers, but to everyone around her.
