Johnny Burgess

Johnny B. Burgess, Jr. was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. He is a member of Montage Theatre of Dance Company where he has studied under the directory of Tiffany Jefferson for 3 years. As a kid, Johnny's main focus was art and pursuing his dream as a professional basketball player. After a devastating ankle and ACL injury in high school, he later found his love for dance at the age of 17. He is well-known for his hard-hitting hip hop moves and explosive tricks and acrobatics. He has worked with artists such as: Jaipee, Compositionz, Sky Blu, Devi, Recognition Lou Writer and have performed opening acts for: Trey Songz, Ginuwine, Lloyd, Robin Thicke, Ms. Berry (For the love of Ray J), Marques Houston & Lyfe Jennings, Gucci Mane, Rosco Dash, Omarion, Soulja Boy, Pretty Ricky, Chris Brown. Other credits include: Phaze 1 dance crew, Kno Comparison dance crew, founder of ProStyleZ Arts and Productions. He has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, Monsters of Hip hop Convention in Dallas, Texas, MaCallister College in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was the Scarecrow in the production, Dance of Oz. He travels performing and teaching his unique style of choreography with great enthusiasm and passion for dance. Johnny was recognized by the Clarion Ledger as a "phenomenal dancer". Johnny is very grateful and blessed to have such a wonderful family that supports him on his journey to success.
