Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Manuela Sanchez began taking dance classes at Eileen’s Studio of Dance when she was 9 years old. She has continued her dance training at several prestigious institutions such as Talent Unlimited High School, The Martha Graham School, Ballet Hispanico and Earl Mosley Institute of the Arts. Manuela went on to obtain her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Dance at Long Island University-Brooklyn Campus, along with a minor in Psychology. She has danced with Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, Amalgamate Dance Company, CS Dance Creations- all based in New York City and Augusto Soledade Brazzdance based in Miami. She has also been a guest artist with Perceptions Contemporary Dance, Maverick Dance Experience, Eva Dean Dance Company and INSPIRIT Dance Company. In addition, she has freelanced with several artists including Fredrick Earl Mosley, Nathan Trice/RITUALS, and Sandra Parks. Teaching credits include Harlem School of the Arts, Brooklyn Charter Schools and Earl Mosley Institute of the Arts. In addition to her dance career, Manuela is also a certified Yoga and Pilates instructor and Thai Bodywork Practitioner and loves sharing movement with others in anyway she can.
