Well..... Where can I start. Hi everyone, My name is Noel Bajandas, and I am a Puerto Rican originally from New Jersey. Born and raised there, I had the privilege to be by the best city in the WORLD.... NYC BABY!!!!! New York has allowed me to be the person that I've always wanted to be and beyond. I grew up in a typical hispanic home with lots of music and culture. My mom would blast salsa ad merengue early Saturday mornings when it was time to clean the house, and I would just get up and dance with her. I can truly say that my mom is my biggest musical inspiration because she loved it so much and had so much fun doing it. So to me music and dance is all about having a good time and enjoying its moment.
After high school, I went to Johnson & Wales University to get my bachelors in Culinary Arts (Yes I can cook too). While I was there, I joined a troop called Hit Squad that involved Stepping and Hip Hop. After a couple of weeks, I became its dance choreographer and we performed a bunch of shows on campus with a couple of the Fraternities and Sororities. Not being able to pay the rest of my tuition (YUP.... It happened to me too), I came back home after 3 months and started working at Path-mark. Ugh.... I hated working there, but I met a girl there who said she was part of a dance company in NYC. SO i said, HEY WHY NOT? Went to Harlem, joined to company and danced my butt off for a while. At this point, It was just for fun. I never thought of it as a career. We performed at a bunch of recreation centers, parks, community theaters, museums, and schools. Than one day, an artist named Lumidee had a it song called "Ohh Ohh, Never Leave You', hit the radios and she came to the company looking for dancers. Well, thats when my professional career started. I shot her two music videos, toured through Europe with her, and than I never looked back.
Since than I've performed with Cirque Du Soleil's "Delirium" World tour, Anna Vissi (Greek Superstar), Daddy Yankee, Thalia, Snoop Dogg, Miley Cyrus, Adam Lambert, Toni Braxton and The Zodiac Show.
Starred in Bring It On: Fight To The Finish
Went to the 2008 Beijing Olympics
Have done commercials forPuma LIFT, Nissan Cube and Radio Shack
I've had the honor to work with some of the most amazing choreographers/directors like Mia Michaels, Jamal Sims, Rosero McCoy, Toni Basil, Nu Stylz, Fatima Robinson and Marlene Clayman.
So this life just landed on my lap, and i just ran with it. I feel blessed everyday knowing that I am living my passion and having fun doing it. I would never want to consider what I'm doing a job or a career because, I've been doing it since i can remember. Im just fortunate that I'm making a living on it.
