BPM beatsperminute is seeking Los Angeles tap dancers for their US premiere performance at The Nvitational Festival, August 12, 13 & 14, 2011 at El Portal Theatre.

BPM beatsperminute is tap dancing like you've rarely seen. Performed by an ensemble of seven talented musicians and dancers, intertwining tap, vocals, bass, guitar and drums, layering live rhythms to invent a new interpretation of the art of tap. With an original score of percussive jazz through to funk, rock and rap, the performance features a unique full body style of smooth, sophisticated tap. Performing in and around the audience, BPM beatsperminute challenges the conventions of audience interaction coupled with dance that is raw, fresh and invigorating.

Auditions are by DancePlug submission only. All submissions must be turned in by July 20th. Please include your Basic Info, Resume and Photos and Videos (is possible).
All applicants must be in the Los Angeles area, available for show dates 12, 13, 14 August as well as rehearsal dates end of July to beginning of August (to be determined).
***Initial auditions are SUBMISSION ONLY. Submissions are via DancePlug.com only. After the initial type casting based on resume and video, a small number of people will be invited to a closed audition.
