As a benefit show for Dancers Alliance new program Member Education, and through the works of 17 choreographers, Liana Blackburn cleverly directed Vitality, depicting her real-life love story. The evening ended with a turn of events that took the entire audience's breath away. Choreographer Tessandra Chavez held her annual show this past Saturday December 18th and Sunday December 19th at the Montalban Theatre in Hollywood. Each evening presented works from Tessandra's companies Unity LA, Unity SD, and Unity 2, as well as various guest choreographers including Sonya Tayeh, Matt Cady, MJ, Erica Sobol, Bare Dance Company, Tony Czar, Kyle Hanagami, Justin Giles, Billy Bell, Ade Obayomi, DancePlug faculty members Tokyo, Gina Starbuck, and many more companies from LA and San Diego. We had also the pleasure to watch another faculty member Johanna Sapakie perform in an amazing duet choreographed by Sonya.
