"Fusing smooth funky movements along with a contemporary base while exploring the idea of "owning" a combination as opposed to "perfecting" a combination. "

And for intermediates, Anh Dillon is working with you on "Small Jumps & Pirouette".

"This is a center exercise blending small jumps with a pirouette."

Choreographer Tessandra Chavez held her annual show this past Saturday December 18th and Sunday December 19th at the Montalban Theatre in Hollywood. Each evening presented works from Tessandra's companies Unity LA, Unity SD, and Unity 2, as well as various guest choreographers including Sonya Tayeh, Matt Cady, MJ, Erica Sobol, Bare Dance Company, Tony Czar, Kyle Hanagami, Justin Giles, Billy Bell, Ade Obayomi, DancePlug faculty members Tokyo, Gina Starbuck, and many more companies from LA and San Diego. We had also the pleasure to watch another faculty member Johanna Sapakie perform in an amazing duet choreographed by Sonya.

The DancePlug Team with host Starr Session had a late night this past Monday at Level 3 in Hollywood, where the Industry Voice Awards were held. The evening, created and organized by Aliya Perry, celebrated industry teachers and choreographers.

The winners included DancePlug faculty members Leslie Scott and Tokyo, as well as Kyle Hanagami, Tricia Miranda, Stephen Twitch Boss, Chonique Sneed and Lisette Bustamante.

Among the nominees were also faculty members Jojo Diggs, Tovaris Wilson, and David Moore. Congratulations to all.
