Description

Meta4 Dance Company is seeking three professional contemporary dancers to develop their work ‘Confluence’. We are looking for disabled and non-disabled dancers to join the company for three weeks of research and development, two informal performances and the delivery of 3 workshops. The piece will work collaboratively with local artists, including costume designer Pip Terry, dramaturg Jesse Soloman and musician Annie Griffiths.

We are interested in working with performers who are led by and interested in inclusivity in the arts and sharing awareness of this in rural locations across the North East.

Production Info

Rooted in Northumberland, Meta4 Dance Company create emotive work shaped by our environment and experiences. We focus on providing access to high-quality dance for people with learning disabilities and communities who experience rural isolation.

The piece will look at the permanence of nature and the impermanence of humanity. Gaining each individual’s experience with nature will deepen our understanding of how essential nature is. The work is a development of a solo piece created in 2021 by Meta4 Dance Company. Click here to see the existing work.
