Description

We are looking for 8 dancers who would be available to participate in performance rehearsals and premier in 2021-2022. The piece will be choreographed by Vittoria de Ferrari Sapetto (Belgium) and Andrea Valfre (Italy). Giacomo Gorini, one of Europe’s most renowned light designers, will create the light design and the music is produced by acknowledged Italian composer Giorgio Ferrero. The performance will be performed by Šeiko Dance Company , Nuepiko Dance Company and selected dancers from Europe.

Production Info

The preliminary schedule of the rehearsals:
– audition of dancers on the 8th – 9th of April, 2021 in Brussels.
– 2 weeks artistic residence with rehearsals no. 1 in Klaipeda in August, 2021
– 1 week artistic residence with rehearsals no. 2 in Kaunas in January-March (exact dates tbc), 2022
– 1 week artistic residence with rehearsals no. 3 in Kaunas in April-May (exact dates tbc), 2022
– 3 weeks rehearsals and premier (including 3 shows) of the performance in Kaunas in August, 2022
Total working time 7 weeks.

Lithuanian city Kaunas has been awarded with a title of European Capital of Culture 2022 . Šeiko Dance Company, based in Klaipeda (LT), has became a partner of this ECoC programme and is starting the creation process of a new contemporary dance performance*, choreographed by Vittoria de Ferrari Sapetto (Belgium) and Andrea Valfre (Italy). Compensation/Fee

Selected artists will get a salary of 400 Eur / week (incl taxes). Travel costs, accommodation and per diems (in LT standards) will be covered as well.
