Full-time, salaried Creative Director/Lead Instructor needed for a new dance studio located in Southern Oregon.

Production Info

You will be responsible for teaching the majority of classes in a variety of genres for all levels and ages (children and adults), choreographing two productions a year (a unique "Nutcracker" in December and an original story ballet in late spring), and helping to grow the studio. You will not own the studio, and the owners will be responsible for the finances, marketing, production costs, administrative duties, etc., so this is a great opportunity for anyone who wishes to be in a leadership role in a dance organization while not shouldering ownership at the same time.

This position requires availability of an average of 40 works per week, including weekday afternoons and evenings, Saturdays, and some Sundays during show weeks.

$60K-$80K annual salary DOE

5+ years of teaching and/or professional performance experience in classical ballet is required, and proficiency with other styles of dance, including jazz, acro, hip hop, tap, and ballroom is highly desirable. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, Arts Administration, or equivalent, and will have previous experience administering a reputable dance program in a studio, school, company, or other professional setting.

Dependability, professionalism, creativity, punctuality, diplomacy, and friendliness are a must! Background check will be required.
