The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance is holding auditions for the Dayton Ballet Company and the Dayton Ballet Studio Company.
Dayton Ballet Company
The second-oldest regional ballet company in the United States, Dayton Ballet is known for innovative and collaborative endeavors. Recently celebrating its 85th Anniversary, Dayton Ballet has toured, created, and presented classical, neoclassical, and contemporary works from iconic choreographers such as George Balanchine, Septime Webre, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Jessica Lang, and Gerald Arpino. Dayton Ballet is committed to commissioning new works by national and international choreographers.
Dayton Ballet Studio Company
Dayton Ballet Studio Company is a two-year, tuition-free training program that serves as an extension of the pre-professional division of Dayton Ballet School (DBS). This second company serves as a bridge between DBS and the Dayton Ballet Company. Dancers 18 to 23 years of age, whether directly out of high school or upon completion of a collegiate program, are invited to audition. Dancers are accepted based on experience, strength, maturity, and overall talent.
