Brooke Jackson Brooke is originally from Indianapolis, IN. She graduated from Western Michigan University with her Bachelor of Arts in dance. The extensive education she received at WMU includes technique training primarily in the genres of ballet, modern, and jazz, along with theory courses including kinesiology, dance management, dance history, teaching dance, music, choreography, and lighting and staging. She has worked closely in the choreographic process with David Curwen, Alivia Schaffer, and Frank Chaves, performing their works at WMU and around the Midwest region. Jackson began her formal dance teaching at the age of sixteen. Throughout her education, she continued teaching beginning, intermediate, and advanced ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, and lyrical for children ages two to eighteen at Dream to Inspire Dance Studio, a competition and recreational dance studio in Schoolcraft, MI.
