Cole McMechen was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He grew up dancing and training for 11 years. Cole began his training at a small studio in Arvada, Colorado. In 2009, after training there for 5 years, he then joined The Silhouettes. The Silhouettes placed 2nd on Americas Got Talent, season 6. Cole then traveled both domestically and internationally performing for and with acts including Earth Wind and Fire, Jerry Springer, and Kevin Bacon, Leann Rimes. Then 2 years later, McMechen then started his training with Sweatshop Dance in Denver, Colorado in 2012. There he trained for his Junior and senior year of high school, also serving as a teacher and cherographer. McMechen is a proud receiver of NYCDA College Scholarship Foundation in 2013. He was awarded over $105,000+ in college scholarships, he accepted a scholarship offer from Point Park University. Cole then moved to Pittsburgh, PA where he studied at Point Park University with a BA in Dance in Ballet & Jazz for two years. He had the pleasure of training under Jason McDole, Peter Merz, Ronald Tassone, Kiesha Lalama, Dana Arey, and Ernest Tolentino. At PPU, McMechens freshman year of college he performed in Nicolas Petrov's ‘Romeo and Juliet’, a lead in Dwight Rhoden's ‘Mercy’, and George Balanchine’s ‘Serenade’. He then studied at the University of Colorado Boulder for Dance and Sports Medicine. McMechen then became a part of a shadow dance company called Inspirati directed by KieAnn Brownell with dance captain Steve Ewing. The teams first performances aired in October of 2014 on TruTv’s FAKE OFF.... Currently Cole is signed with the Movement Talent Agency (MTA) and working as a dancer in LA.
