Sergei Polunin Hits the Big Screen

Bad boy of ballet Sergei Polunin has really been making waves recently. After achieving the status of Principal dancer at the Royal Ballet at 23, he left the company, citing unhappiness with the amount of exposure he was getting at the famed company, as well as the desire for more money. Since then, you've seen him in Munich's Bayeriches Staatballett, in a variety of contemporary works by partner Natalia Osipova, in the documentary "Dancer," and in that one Hozier video we're all still obsessed with.

Now, Polunin is turning his eyes to the silver screen. He's confided to The Hollywood Roporter that we'll be seeing him in two upcoming movies. The first is "Red Sparrow," which features Jennifer Lawrence as a ballerina who becomes a Russian spy. The second is "Murder on the Orient Express," which will star Hollywood powerhouses Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz and Judi Dench. It's not totally clear what his role will be, but one thing is clear - we'll certainly be seeing a lot more of him!
