Bio

Sabrina has been training in dance for over 12 years. She first trained in jazz, tap, ballet and hip-hop and competed in those styles earning her numerous top awards. Sabrina later expanded her training to include contemporary, modern, pointe, Latin ballroom, as well as other hip-hop styles of breaking, popping, locking and jazz-funk. Sabrina has attended many workshops and conventions over the years, dancing with notable choreographers including Brian Friedman, Travis Wall, Napoleon and Tabitha D’umo (Nappytabs), Will “Willdabeast” Adams, Janelle Ginestra, and Sonya Tayeh, to name a few. During these conventions and competitions, Sabrina was awarded with many scholarships recognizing her as a standout dancer in hip-hop, contemporary, tap, ballet, and jazz. In the summer of 2014, Sabrina was awarded the Advanced Protégé scholarship at The PULSE on Tour.

Sabrina graduated from the School of Dance at the Oakland School for the Arts (OSA) in the historic Fox Theater building. She trained under the direction of Reginald Ray-Savage in ballet and modern dance, including Dunham and Horton techniques.

At age 10, Sabrina was the youngest member ever to join Funksters, the youth hip-hop company of Funkanometry San Francisco. She later joined Future Shock, the semi-professional hip-hop company of Culture Shock Oakland directed by Kim Sims-Battiste. Sabrina was also a member of collectiveUth Bay Area, an organization which brings young dancers and professional choreographers together to create art in motion. Sabrina was also a founding member of Young Minds, a hip-hop dance project under the direction of Allan Frias (Season 1 - So You Think You Can Dance). Sabrina also trains in Latin Dancesport with United States Latin Dance Champion, Tytus Bergstrom, and was a member of his formation dance team.

At New You Dance Center (NYDC) in Martinez, Sabrina was awarded the studio’s first annual protégé scholarship. She trained and competed under the direction of AJ Rogers and received top awards for her performances. She taught hip-hop, jazz, and ballet classes to beginner and intermediate students at NYDC.

For three seasons, Sabrina was as a professional dancer for the NBA Golden State Warriors Jr. Jam Squad, where she performed high energy hip-hop routines during home games in front of 19,000 cheering Warrior fans. She performed to sold-out crowds at all home games of the first-round and semifinals of the NBA Playoffs in 2013.

Sabrina recently performed as a Rhythm Nation dancer on Janet Jackson's Unbreakable tour in San Francisco. Sabrina has also appeared in a number of commercials, including Sony PlayStation, H&M, Orange España, Interface, and Exxon Mobil. She appeared as a model in a Trendy Trends Dancewear catalog and a Klutz activity book. With her teammates from Future Shock, Sabrina was a contestant on The Filipino Channel variety television show, “Showtime” where their routine earned a cash prize. Future Shock appeared at the BET Awards BET Experience at LA Live. Future Shock was the opening performance for Disney star, and Dancing With the Stars runner-up, Zendaya, on her Replay Tour at the Alameda County Fair.

In addition to dance, Sabrina has also trained at Kryolan in San Francisco in different aspects of professional make-up and also trained at Paris Beauty College. She is currently a Licensed Esthetician. Sabrina works part-time as a party motivator/dancer for the Denon & Doyle Entertainment Company.
