Julie is originally from Northern Virginia where she started dancing at the age of 3. She graduated from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance and the Excellence in Performance Award. At GMU, she had the privilege to perform works by Lar Lubovitch, Ohad Naharin, Mark Morris, David Parsons, Stephen Petronio, Martha Graham, Camille Brown, Susan Shields, and Christopher D'Amboise. She has spent summers dancing with companies such as the Mark Morris Dance Group and received the 2012 Summer Scholarship to study with David Parsons. She currently lives in New York City and is dancing with a NYC based Australian modern dance company, CoreDance Contemporary.
