Sven Niemeyer

Sven Niemeyer studied musicalperformance in Hamburg and dance at Iwanson International Munich, Germany. During and after his education he performed in many different Musical- and Danceproductions for stage, film and TV (West Side Story, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Footloose, TV-Shows for RTL and Pro7, 'Solo'-a shortfilm w/members of Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch-, and many more). Sven absolved also classes with the Northwest Pacific Ballett Seattle, at the EDGE-Pac and with the L.A. Dance Force Los Angeles and in New York, London, Zurich or Stockholm. Due to his experience he became one of Germany's top teacher for Jazz Dance in all kind of styles, got the reputation as technique specialist and is a welcome guest teacher in many professional schools like Stage School Hamburg, Iwanson International Munich or Dance Academy Fribourg (Freiburger Akademie für Tanz). As a well known expert he gets also invited to be a judge for many different dance- or musicalcompetitions cross Europe and is teaching workshops in Austria, Switzerland, Croatia or Spain. As choreographer he worked at the Staatsoper Hamburg, Waldau Theater Bremen or his own cross-over-company 'salvation: DANCE!' . Sven also organize Germany-Workshops for international guest-teacher under the 'salvation:DANCE!' label.

2011 he was invited to teach master classes for professional dancers and choreographers in Russia and do a choreography for a flash mob at the train station in Chelyabinsk in the frame of the International Summer Laboratory of Contemporary Dance at the South Ural State University of Culture and Arts. Besides his theater-engagements he also tought Modern/Contemporary at 'The Circle Rotterdam' Netherlands.

Last fall/ winter Sven was also invited to teach Jazz at the famous Studio Harmonic in Paris, France, and masterclasses and to judge at the Dance Fest Novi Sad/Serbia and Prague Dance Open/Czech Republik.

For 2012 he got invitations to teach, besides his engagement as ACTION in West Side Story, at the Amsterdam Dance Center, again at the International Summer Lab Russia and also for the first time in Kazakhstan.

Sven is teaching and working with all kind of people who enjoy dance. No matter which age or what level, from children to professionals, he gives all his knowledge about "dancing and to be on stage" to his students.
