Anh's Intermediate Ballet Barre #1

A barre built on one idea: articulate through the foot. It starts in the slow battement tendu, where the foot works through demi-pointe, and that same articulation carries into every battement that follows.

Ronds de jambe pass through a flat first position. Frappés finish clearly at the end of each movement, whatever the speed. The barre closes with grands battements, where the weight has to settle in the second position plié before it moves on.
