1. Collection of Information
When you visit DancePlug you provide us with two types of information: Personal Information and Non-Personal Information.
1.1. Personal Information
We collect information you provide to us, when registering or making a purchase on the Site, signing up to our newsletter, filling out your online profile or a survey, or contacting us. Personal Information may include your name, birth date, gender, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information, and other information you knowingly choose to disclose to us.
1.2. Non-Personal Information
We collect information when you interact with our Site, use our Services, or view DancePlug advertising outside of the Site. This information includes IP address, user data, and browser type. This information is gathered for all DancePlug visitors.
When you use DancePlug, you may set up your talent profile, perform searches and queries, and transmit information through various channels. We collect this information so that we can provide you the service and offer personalized features. When you update information, we may keep a backup copy of the prior version for a reasonable period of time to enable reversion to the prior version of that information.
In addition, we store certain information from your browser using "cookies". A cookie is a piece of data stored on the User's computer tied to information about the User. We use session ID cookies to confirm that Users are logged in. These cookies terminate once the User closes the browser. By default, we use a persistent cookie that stores your login ID (but not your password) to make it easier for you to login when you come back to the Site. You can program your computer to warn you each time a cookie is being sent, block third party cookies or block all cookies. However, by blocking all cookies you may not have access to certain features on the Services.
In order to use the Site, Users must accept cookies. Users will be prompted at the beginning of their session to accept cookies. Users may withdraw consent by deleting their cookies from their browser settings at any time.
2. Use of Information Obtained by DancePlug
We use information to provide, analyze, administer, improve and personalize our Services, to process your registration, your orders and your payments, and to communicate with you on these and other topics. For example, we use information in the following ways:
- To provide you with our Services
- To provide you with customer support and respond to your requests
- To process transactions
- To send you notices about your account and subscriptions (including transactions, expiration, and renewals)
- To administer a contest, promotion, or other site feature
- To receive feedback and understand our Users better in order to improve our Services
- To send periodic emails and announcements. Please note you may unsubscribe from these emails
- To protect you and our rights, and prevent potentially illegal or harmful activities, including fraud
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal process.
We keep track of your interactions with us, including but not limited to your site activity, payment history and correspondence. We use this information for such purposes as personalizing the site to better reflect particular interests, helping us quickly and efficiently respond to inquiries and requests and otherwise enhancing our service offering for our customers.
3. Sharing Your Information
3.1. Public Talent Profile
When you register or re-register with DancePlug, you have the option of creating a talent profile. Your profile information, such as your name, email and photo, are displayed to people in the networks specified in your privacy settings to enable you to connect with other Users and non-users of DancePlug. Your talent profile will be publicly discoverable across the world wide web. If you do not wish for your profile to be found online, please contact us.
3.2. Posting A Listing
When a User posts an audition, job, or event, the notice may contain personally identifiable information. By posting a listing on DancePlug, you consent to share the contents of the listing with other DancePlug users, as well as make the contents of your listing publicly discoverable across the world wide web.

Except as otherwise disclosed to you, we will not sell, rent or disclose your personal information to third parties without notifying you of our intent to share the personal information in advance and giving you an opportunity to prevent your personal information from being shared. We share your information with third parties only in limited circumstances where we believe such sharing is (i) reasonably necessary to offer the service, (ii) legally required or, (iii) permitted by you.
We share and give access to personal information to our employees and agents in the course of operating our businesses. For example for customer service.
We use other trusted companies, agents or contractors to perform services on our behalf. For example, we have partnered with Stripe to process credit card transactions, analyze and enhance data, including customers' interaction with our site, and process consumer surveys. In the course of providing such services, these other companies may have access to your personal information. These companies are not permitted to use your personal information except for the purpose of providing the services we request of them.
We may be required to disclose user information pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas or court orders, or in compliance with applicable laws. We do not reveal information until we have a good faith belief that an information request by law enforcement or private litigants meets applicable legal standards. Additionally, we may share account or other information when we believe it is necessary to comply with law, to protect our interests or property, to prevent fraud or other illegal activity perpetrated through the Services or using the DancePlug name, or to prevent imminent bodily harm. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, agents or government agencies.

The use of the Services and Site is reserved to persons over 13 years of age. DancePlug does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for DancePlug or send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to or on DancePlug. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us.
4.2. Children Between the Ages of 13 and 18
Minors over the age of 13 must ask their parents or legal guardians for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet. Parents and legal guardians are responsible for the protection of their children's privacy.
5. Additional Provisions for European Economic Area Users
DancePlug adheres to applicable data protection laws in the European Economic Area (EEA), which, if applicable to you, include the following rights:
- Where processing of Personal Data is based on your consent, you have a right to withdraw consent at any time for future processing.
- You have a right to request access to, rectification, or erasure of your Personal Data, or to transfer or receive a copy of your Personal Data in a usable format.
- You have a right to object to the processing of your Personal Data under certain circumstances.
- You have a right to lodge a complaint with an applicable data protection authority if you feel the above conditions aren’t being met.
6. Changing or Removing Information
Access and control over most personal information on DancePlug is readily available through the profile editing tools. Users may modify or delete any of their profile information at any time by logging into their account. Information will be updated immediately. Users who wish to deactivate their DancePlug membership may do so on their Account page. Removed information may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time but will not be available to members of DancePlug.
You are responsible for updating and maintaining the truth and accuracy of the personal information you provide to DancePlug relating to your account. If you want to update your contact information, you should do so by visiting your Account section of the Site. You can also make changes to your account program, as well as e-mail subscriptions preferences, by going to the your Account Settings.
DancePlug takes information security very seriously and uses reasonable administrative, technical and managerial measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access. For example, we utilize Secure Sockets Layering, an industry-standard protocol for certain of your transmissions to us, in order to encrypt the personal information that you send to us through the registration and sign up process. We store your email address in an encrypted form.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for restricting access to your computer or mobile device through which you access your DancePlug account. Users of public or shared computers or unprotected mobile devices should log out at the completion of each visit to the Site.
Unfortunately, no security system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information and cannot assume liability for improper access to it. By using the Site, or providing personal information to us through any means, you agree that we can communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of this site.
8. California Privacy Rights
California Civil code § 1798.83 provides certain rights to California residents, including the right to request information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. To request such information, please contact us as described below.
