Anh's Advanced Ballet Class #4
A lot of this class happens on demi-pointe, so expect tired calves. The rond de jambe en l'air runs through it as a progression: first at the barre, then in the adage, then in a center combination that ends in turns.
The first arabesque follows its own path. It begins as a held balance at the barre, slows into a promenade in the center adage, and speeds up in the turns of the pirouette and coda exercises. Your placement should stay the same whether the arabesque is still or moving. The coda travels in piqué turns and finishes on a grand jeté en tournant.
