Anh's Basic Ballet Class #2
Face the barre and the work stays simple. Your hips and shoulders stay square, and with no arm to think about you can look after posture and legs. Once ballet posture feels familiar, take the same exercises sideways to the barre.
Most exercises come with options: hands on the hips or an arm in second, third position or fifth. The center starts with arms and head for the balancé, then moves on to chassés forward into first arabesque, and finishes by travelling.
