Bertha's Intermediate Ballet Class #2
This ballet barre class works the hips and waist, turns the legs out and keeps the body and posture up. Warm-up pliés come first. The barre follows, from tendus in first and fifth, with and without plié, to fondus.
Pliés are done with the knee over the toes, as if the leg is between two walls. Little toes stay on the floor and the arches stay lifted. Big toes stay glued to the floor in tendus.
Listen to the music and don't rush.
