Need Your Touch
In this hip-hop combination, violins sit high and a lower piano sound sits underneath, and the body should answer each one. Arm movements are fast and intricate, and a few shapes borrow from waacking: daggers thrown across the body, a touch-touch-touch to present the foot.
The first half is stoic. Hold, unravel, roll, and make the arms boxy and geometric. Then the music picks up and the dance changes: thrashy, explosive, hair flying.
The ending is yours: turn over the left shoulder and melt into whatever pose and arms you choose.
