Hair Whips
This warm-up and groove drill teaches hair whips without hurting your neck. Stretch before any hair choreography. Slow head rolls, side to side, up and down and shoulder to shoulder, plus a pull to the side while you look down, set up the neck. Then thrash with your legs in second and your hands on your head.
Don't keep the neck static. Let it release into the motion for full range. Send the hair back the instant you come up: a fast head initiation while the body rises slowly. Paths include thrashes, a swing around and close, and a figure eight led by the top of the head.
