Dragon Squats

Opposite hip twist and leg strength are the focus of this exercise at a bar, ledge or chair. Twist from the foot, not the knee. It carries into pirouettes and chaînés.

Face a bar, ledge or chair for balance. Squat down, shift weight forward and back, then lift a foot off the floor. Think of your hips as two car headlights facing forward.

The final squat is the hardest. The leg comes around low, then you stand.
