Weight Shift Transitions
Work on weight transfers and holds in this across-the-floor exercise. Know where your weight is in your feet and body, so you can pick up the right foot when you learn choreography.
A step takes your full weight. A touch takes none. The pattern is walks, a passé with a free leg, a run of steps and touches, then chaînés with a spotted head whip. The upper body adds emphasis and style: arms on the lower back, a snap out, a pull in.
