This intermediate jazz warm up starts with a modified Sun Salutation to get your blood flowing and continues with both strength and stretch exercises to get you ready for any jazz or contemporary class. Your warm up is the best place to make corrections on your technique, so pay attention to the muscles being used and any unwanted tension in your face or hands.
About the instructor
Joelle Martinec is a choreographer/educator/dancer well known for creating stimulating and motivating performances of real life for stage. She is founder and artistic director SoleVita Dance Company. Joelle has choreographed music videos for Ashley Chambliss, Adjoa Skinner, Erin Muir, Brad Stanley and The Foxflies as well as events for the Nokia Theatre and LA Fashion week.
