Bhangra Jump Tap Basic

Weight is the whole point of this Bhangra footwork basic. The tapping foot stays light while the supporting leg does the work, so expect to feel it in your thighs on both sides.

Stand with one foot parallel and the other turned out, hands on your hips at first. The working foot taps and lifts to hip level, relaxed, with the energy in the bounce rather than a pointed or flexed foot. Arms join later, pushing up with the knee as if elbow and knee are on one puppet string.
