Corina's Intermediate Ballet Class #1
Give yourself a leg to stand on in this ballet barre class. Weight transfer runs through the barre, from tendu to dégagé to balance: stand on the standing leg first, then let the working leg go without lifting the hip.
Balances ask you to take the hand off the bar straight away and look for the sensation of balance rather than a fixed position. Musicality gets greedy, so steal a little more time to stretch and find length.
In the center, an adagio, pirouettes to a mazurka, sissonnes and a waltz close the class.
