Connecting Through Transitions
A turning exercise across the floor that connects chaînés and piqués through plié. The prep has the right arm out in front and the left to the side.
Prick up onto a straight supporting leg for the piqué. Even though the walks are just walks, keep dancing them: hips, style, personality.
The fan kick stays in plié, and the leg waits until the last count to touch down. Then start again. It lines up with the chaîné and piqué section of the matching jazz combination.
