Attitude and Penché Adagio
Balance comes first in this adagio. You stay in the balls of the feet for a lot of one-legged work and keep the core lifted throughout.
The passé rolls through the hip socket, a contraction comes forward with flexed hands and feet, and a back attitude with a circling arm leads to a balance. The penché takes a full eight counts. Look out six to ten feet while you go down, and bring your focus in only at the end.
