Fast Feet
A footwork drill on speed and on spreading weight between heel and toe. Fast feet start with where the weight sits. Open the knees so one heel and the opposite toe push out, then bring them back to center and switch. All the while the weight stays spread between one heel and one toe, deep in a plié.
Then pick up the pace. One foot slides in as the other heel lifts, a bit like walking on a treadmill. The sliding foot floats a centimeter above the floor.
