This combination will push dancers physicality in relationship to their musicality. There are moments to lean into the music and moments to work counter to their natural musical impulses. Moving in and out of the floor with speed and precision adds a dynamic virtuosity in a less traditional sense. The artists will also be pushed to use their "western ballet" technique in ways that a traditional ballet class does not demand. I believe that at some point even the most classical of dancers will be asked to move in and out of the floor and this combination can help get the tightest ones to loosen up!
