Grotesque, comical shapes fill this combination, inspired by the dodo bird, or any bird that does not get to fly. Not everything in dance has to be beautiful.

Technique is in use but never shown off. Groove anchors the piece. Weight, physicality and imagination all get pushed past what you expect from yourself.

Two eight counts of nature sounds open the music, and you improvise your way into the bird. Later, add your own twitches, as if molting or cleaning dirty feathers.
