Wow, what a night, amiright?

Let's just get this out of the way right off the bat - how about that Best Picture mishap? Now, we all know that dance lovers were a little disappointed La La Land didn't take home the big win. BUT it did walk away with some other victories (looking at you, Emma Stone!) and Moonlight in an incredible, groundbreaking film that 100% deserved recognition.

So, putting all that aside, let's focus on the good stuff. We had some great, dance-related moments! John Legend brought all the feels with his performance of "City of Stars" and "Audition" from La La Land. The dancers in the background paired perfectly; the choreography evoked the same sort of classic, old-world feel of the film. Watch it here

Another highlight: Lin-Manuel Miranda performing "How Far I'll Go" from Moana with star Auli'i Cravalho, because apparently writing and starring in a hit Broadway musical wasn't enough for him. Cravalho is only 16, but is already a total powerhouse AND a total professional. Did you catch her getting smacked in the head by one of the wave fabric dancers? Didn't phase her a bit. That's how it's done, girl. You go. Check out the video here
