Leap, the newest animated film from Harvey Weinstein, was set to be released in the States on April 21st. However, the Weinstein Company has announced that they will push the release date back to Labor Day in September. Their aim, says Weinstein, is to increase visibility and build excitement in their audience.

LEAP! is about a young girl named Felicie and her friend Victor who leave their orphanage and journey to Paris to fulfill Felicie's dream of dancing at the Paris Opera Ballet School.

The film has already been released in several other countries under the name "Ballerina." LEAP! will include the voices of stars like Elle Fanning, Nat Wolff, Maddie Ziegler, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kate McKinnon and Mel Brooks.
