My Golden Hat
Grab a hat and pretend it's gold for this theatre dance combination. You're on a stage, so stand tall, reach and keep the feet precise.
The grapevines travel and the hat goes up, over and out. Use the plié into the floor, and keep the shoulders down when you reach. The hat tempts you to grip, but relax the upper body and let the legs do the work.
Kicks come straight-legged, working toward a kick line and a final pose.
There are musical transitions of four and six counts of eight. Don't worry about them.
