Carolyn Dorfman Dance seeks male presenting dancers with strong contemporary modern dance and ballet technique, bold athleticism, a broad theatrical range, strong partnering skills, and a keen desire for artistic growth.

Dorfman creates work that shares the uniqueness and commonalities of the human story, thus maintaining a vibrant and diverse company of dancers is essential to our art and philosophy. All are welcome and Black, Indigenous and Artists of Color are encouraged to apply.

The Company’s 2026-2027 Touring Season includes creation of new work, repertory reconstruction, performances in NJ/NYC and regional/national touring, with education residencies and community engagement.

Company positions beginning September 22, 2026
Non-union, Minimum 28-week contract
20-hour weekly rehearsal schedule in NYC

Compensation/Fee

Base salary begins at a minimum of $450/wk; additional pay for teaching and performance. Select benefits also provided.
