Garet&Co is holding our annual company audition to select our roster of dancers for our sixth season, running September 2026-August 2027. We are casting all company positions: Principal Members, Professional Members, Student Members and Apprentice Members.
Production Info
BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ dancers are encouraged to audition.
Compensation/Fee
Principal members: $22/hr for rehearsals and $100/show day
Pros members: $20/hr for rehearsals and $75/show day.
Student members: only when understudying a professional work, id the student needs to fill in. $15/hr fore rehearsal and $50/show day
Apprentice members: not applicable
Roles
- Principal Members and Professional Members are age 18+ professional dancers, and are paid for their work with Garet&Co.
- Apprentice Members are 14-22 year old high school and college-aged students who receive free performance opportunities and a 50% scholarship to train with Garet&Co.
- Student Members are 14-22 year old high school and college-aged students who are planning to pursue dance in the future, and receive completely free training and performance opportunities with Garet&Co.
Please note that Principal Members are the highest level of our professional company, and Student Members are the highest level of our high school and college company. Dancers who are selected for these positions will have already danced at least 1 season with Garet&Co.
If you are between the ages of 18-22 and are unsure of whether you should audition for our college program or for the professional company, please consider your availability and dedication. Being a Pro & Principal Member is a job, in which dancers are expected to be consistently available and fully dedicated to their work with the company. Being a Student & Apprentice Member should also be treated with care and commitment, but is not a job and enables a lot more flexibility within your schedule.
