Choreographer Silva and Accent Dance NYC are seeking professional dancers to create a new work for the company.

We are delighted to announce this year's winner of Accent Dance NYC's NEXT commissioning program, INGRID SILVA. Ingrid will create her new work for the company in August, with a studio showing on Thursday September 10th at the Paul Taylor Studios, and a premiere at our Gala on Saturday October 3rd at the Ailey Citigroup Theater. We also anticipate the work being shown next Spring 2027 as part of our professional Spring Season again at the Ailey Citigroup Theater.

BIPOC and immigrant artists are especially encouraged to apply, though all are welcome.
Requirements
Ingrid's choreography will require dancers with strong ballet technique, as well as strong contemporary and cultural dances. As a Brazilian artist, Ingrid draws inspiration from her heritage, and elements of Brazilian culture will influence her movement vocabulary. The choreographic work will not be performed on pointe.
