As we all know too well, dancers are not machines. So when you book that dream tour or long term show contract, how do you keep every show feeling new? What's the secret to avoiding burnout? Brandi Chun shares her thoughts:
Brandi: "I’ve been blessed to do a few different shows that required me to be versatile in my performance. We had shows 5-6 days a week so it could be physically challenging and hard to keep it fresh at times. I love to be on stage and perform for live audiences so a lot of times their energy kept me going. On nights when the audience’s energy was low I would remind myself that not many people get to experience the unique feeling of being on stage and I am grateful to be doing what I love for a living."
