Rendez-Vous
In this jazz-funk combination the groove leads and the technique follows. To find the funk you release rather than place and hold, which goes against how jazz and contemporary dancers are used to working. Make it big and full of life, and nothing should be too small.
Your own groove steps appear twice. The arms are free, the rock is yours, and you can change it every time.
The isolations need to be clean, though: a wave through the arms that finds each bone, and a leg that rotates in and out. A down chaîné into a renversé jump ends it, chest lifted.
