This class also focuses on the constant awareness of breathing, which helps the dancer to achieve detail work and prevent injuries.

About the instructor

Cati performed a wide range of the classical repertory before studying the Jose Limon, Martha Graham and release techniques in Paris. Cati has been a dancer, guest teacher around the world and is an established and inventive artistic director and choreographer. She is an associate faculty member at Santa Monica College, teaching Ballet, Classical floor barre, Modern in privates studios in Los Angeles alongside being a board member and the screening committee director of the “Dance Camera West” dance film festival in Los Angeles. Her Classical floor barre is an essential component for developing ballet technique; emphasizing proper alignment, mind and body connection, safe work on external rotation, deep stretch and strengthening; a great tool for rehabilitation after injury. Floor barre can be taken as a separate conditioning class or perfect before taking a ballet lesson right after.
